Jets linebacker fined for late hit on Hurts

Jets linebacker Quincy Williams has been fined ,609 for his late hit on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in the principal preseason game last Friday.

Williams was hailed for superfluous harshness, yet Hurts was OK.

He polished off the score drive before lead trainer Nick Sirianni pulled him and the other starters.

It works out," Hurts said after the game. "He hit me late. They called a banner. We continued on."

Harms, 24, was a lot more settled about the circumstance than his mentors and colleagues.

Sirianni was seen during the game transmission shouting across the field toward Saleh and the Jets sideline.

He must be controlled by an Eagles staff member out by the numbers.

"I was only standing up for Jalen," Sirianni said. "I won't ever apologize for standing up for my players

That initial series was most likely the last preseason activity we'll see from Hurts this mid year.
