After seven seasons as bandleader of "Late Show," Jon Batiste departs.

12 August (UPI) - After seven seasons as the host of the band, Jon Batiste is leaving The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The CBS late-night program's host Stephen Colbert made the announcement of Batiste's departure on its Thursday episode.

Louis Kato will take the place of John Battist on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

THE NEW YORK Following this year's several Grammy wins, Jon Batiste's career is flourishing.

He'll learn how to play Mozart on the shoehorn if you give him an afternoon.

After that, Colbert said that Batiste would be replaced as bandleader by interim bandleader Louis Cato.

Additionally, the Late Show Band will now be known as The Late Show Band rather than Stay Human.

Season 8 of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will debut on September 6.

The eighth studio album by singer, composer, musician, and television personality Batiste, titled We Are, was released in March 2021.
