The top two MPs on Wednesday's final ballot were Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss.

With 137 votes, former Chancellor Mr. Sunak won the election.

According to polls, he is less well-liked by Conservative Party members.

The two finalists will now set up shop at 12 hustings that will take place around the UK.

The first will occur on July 28 in Leeds, and the last on August 31 in London.

About 160,000 party members will vote online or via mail.

Those whose ballots are likely to be received by August 5 and results will be declared by September 5.

Sunak said on Telegram that I am running as Thatcher, and I will rule as Thatcher.
